Formerly based in London but now residing in Berlin, Ascetic takes a wildly experimental approach to techno, incorporating contrasting elements of other electronic genres for a deep and uncompromising experience. Ambient, unnerving and at times bordering on industrial, A Network of Lines that Intersect is a must for techno lovers who are not afraid to broaden their horizons. An exciting release for us since it's our first by an outside producer. Luckily, Step Forward EP rises to the occasion: hip hop, dub and dubstep, all ambitiously blended with some fine production. With these 16 instrumental tracks he takes it back to the raw essence, bringing you some well chopped sample-based beats, varying from some good old soul to bollywood.

Culprate brings some welcome heaviness to the Planet Terror imprint with some genre-defying crossover dubs. Dubstep and breakcore meet in a dark alley late at night, and although it's not clear who wins, the carnage that ensues is well worth sticking around for.

From the atmospheric 'Donkey' to the weird cuts of 'Slipper', this is an EP packed with variety and strange contrast that should bring in fans of many different genres.

A skilled DJ and original producer, we're happy to have Culprate on Smurd's first release on Planet Terror was 'New Ferves' on our Terra Firma compilation back in , so a full EP from the Barcelona-based producer has been on the cards for a while now. Mo Gear does not disappoint, playing to Smurd's strengths with the melodic acid and hectic breakbeats he has become known for.

Accomplished and intriguing. Topic: smurd, planet terror records, mo gear. More upbeat that his trio of EPs, set loose in and , this one is a more joyful, celebratory collection. Sephirot is a young talent based in Leeds and Bristol. As well as the inevitable south-west connection, his sound draws on hip hop, wonky, soul, skwee and klezmer to create a melting pot of crazy synth leads, key changes and soaring vocals.

Showcasing his trademark blend of hip hop, dub and dubstep perfectly, Dig and Delve displays a keen ear for production that should make it popular with netaudio heads and DJs alike. Smurd has been with us since the release of our Terra Firma compilation back in featuring the robotic breakbeat of 'New Ferves' , but the last you heard from him on Planet Terror was the Mo Gear EP, our 40th release.

This man is prolific, so it hasn't taken him long to put together another batch of tracks from his lab. From the technical 'The Shield' to the playful 'Alive or Dead', 'Saloon' , this is a producer who has his hardware under control. Our second release by Siberian producer Ivan Zhurovich, a. It is one of a number of releases Ivan has put out this year on a variety of labels. Thankfully this doesn't indicate a drop in quality, but an increase in productivity.

Jack Orion - Cinder 2. Mantra - Send Up A Badman myspace. It has been almost two years since we released Kingstux' Watch The Stars EP, so here is another offering from the Belgian electronica aficionado. Geeks and Parasites is a lively EP that unites classic electronic instrumentation with dub undertones and crackling distortion, all in the name of experimentation. Kingstux has recently unveiled Flex Nebulae , his debut album on Xtraplex Records and a sister release to Geeks and Parasites.

Swaying between heavily arranged melodies and frenetic rhythms, this is an album of extremes and one that will definitely appeal to fans of golden-era Warp, imaginative breakcore and chiptune.

Topic: skip, sk'p, unmute your journey, planet, planet terror records. Christopher Rave's live acid sets have been permeating Sheffield over the last couple of years, but in our opinion this man hasn't been given the platform he deserves. Built on the fly with synths and drum machines, his tracks are raw and squelchy, returning to a time when dance music was fun and spontaneous.

In a world where most 'live' dance sets consist of a man with a hairdo staring at a laptop screen, Chris's spikey, analogue sound is just what the acid doctor ordered.
